I designed by first pressed flower picture after a fun and exciting summer learning to press flowers with my younger sister. It was a simple wreath I entitled “Summer’s End.” From that design, the business of Pressed For Time was born.
For the next fifteen years, I enjoyed creating pressed floral artwork from the flowers that I and my children picked and pressed from our own gardens and from the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
A few years ago, I decided to experiment with my work and created a series of fairy designs. I was very pleased with the outcome and have continued to let my imagination and nature inspire other magical images-all made from pressed flowers, leaves and greenery. I call this divine work, “Petal Painting.”
Today I am still being inspired to produce new creations, and now offer affordable gicleè prints of many of my original designs. I love opening a new page of press flowers and being flooded with the memories of those early years, and the everlasting beauty that pressed flowers represent.
